Today I took Noah and Gabe to the doctor for their 3 year and 18 month check-ups. Just like the rest of you I have been wondering what was going to happen with this anemia that Gabe has. Well after about 2 1/2 months of trying to get into Primary Childrens Hospital to see a pediatric hematologist we found out today that he doesn't need to go anymore.
After a couple of weeks of not taking the iron supplement we bought some yesterday and started giving it to him again and today his count was up to 11 1/2. (It's supposed to be between 10.5 -13.) So the doctor told us that we need to still give him the supplement a couple times a week and they are going to test him again at his 2 year appt. in March. So for now he is doing fine. He is actually getting over a virus right now. He's been sick for the last couple of days. Hopefully he will be over it by tomorrow. So thank you for all of your prayers on his behalf.
