Kids say the funniest things

Yesterday Noah and I were talking about eating bugs and Noah informed me that WE don't eat bugs, but birds do.

Noah: Seagulls eat bugs and crickets, but people don't.
Me: But some people eat birds.
Noah: Noooooooo, we don't eat birds.
Me: Yeah, we eat chickens.
Noah: No, it's not a bird.
Me: Then what is it?
Noah: Chicken is just chicken. Fish are just fish and dogs are pets. (of course they are)

I thought it was funny how he had to point all that out to me. Not much has been going on this week. We've stayed inside most of the week because of the crazy weather. Sunday night to Monday morning I thought the wind was going to take us "over the rainbow". It was crazy. The neighbor down the street still has his overturned trampoline in their side yard instead of the back. Luckily our garbage cans didn't travel down the road, but our full recycling can was knocked down and emptied. Garbage flying all over the street. Oh well.

Our garbage can did the same thing. I still am not used to the crazy wind that we get here!

You know, you could come to sunny California and visit us and leave the wind behind :) Seriously, even though you are doing your yard this year it really isn't that expensive if you stay with us and get package deals. Hey, you don't even have to go to all the tourist places, you could just go to the beach and hang out. Ok maybe Disneyland but come on , you have to come visit us. :)

Kids say the most hilarious things, don't they? At the end of every day (as most moms, I'm sure) I'm always trying to recall all the funny things they say everyday. Too bad we can't just carry a recorder around with us all day so we don't forget all their funnyisms (don't you like that word?!?).

Oh, and I LOVE Paul in that commercial. He has a new future as an actor, I think. He really did an awesome job.

The meat topic was my favorite with Emma, when she was 4 we talked about cows and chickens etc, at one wonderfully enlightened moment she said "Hey that means I'm meat too!" Four years later and I'm still laughing.

I second hating the wind!

Yes the wind sucks! We live in tornado ally now, so I get a little nervous when a good wind blows through!

That wind has been awful, I think it was the worst in the 2 plus years we have lived here. Too funny about what eats what, kids are too funny sometimes!

What a cute kid!!! I sure wish we could see him in person more often!

What on the earth??? A tramp on it's side and garbage cans taking trips down the street? Sounds totally insane there. Well, we have rain, and lots of it, but there are way too many trees for the wind to get that out of control. Sometimes I see the tops of the trees going crazy and all I feel is a slight breeze. Hopefully that calms down for you guys soon so you can enjoy the normal fabulous Utah spring weather. I miss that!
