The Saturday after girl's camp I went to help clean up tents and things and then we worked in the yard for a bit, took 2 hour naps, and then headed over to Orem for the Summer Fest that they have every summer. I've been going to this Festival ever since we moved to Orem around 1993, give or take a couple of summers. So it is a tradition in our family. We got there around 6 pm and Noah and Gabe were able to go on some of the rides and eat some tiger's blood and pina colada snow cones while watching the parade. After that we settled into our usual spot in front of Panda Express and Smith's to watch the fireworks. The boys loved it and Gabe has been wanting to see fireworks ever since. He talks about it every day. The boys were also able to see some helicopters close up and watch them take off. It was lots of fun and something that I think the boys will remember for a long time.
