I wonder if the pioneers knew that when they came to the Salt Lake Valley we would be celebrating years later as another glorified 4th of July. At least that is what it feels like. I am very grateful though. Living in Utah during this holiday means that Paul gets another day off of work and another excuse to have a barbeque.
But seriously I am truly grateful for the sacrifices that were made to come here. In past years I have been up to the "This is the Place" monument and love to look around at all the different replicated "pioneer" homes and stores. It makes me appreciate them even more and grateful for the luxuries that I have now.

I'm with you on the the holiday thing! Maybe you'll gain better insight when you go on TREK next year...I don't know if I envy that part of YW?
I just saw the baby thing. WHAT???? Congrats, I'm so excited for you. I hope you're feeling okay, if you need anything let me know.
Ya I noticed the baby thing too! Congratulations, hopefully you are one of those girls who love being pregnant. I'm 25 weeks and can't wait for this little guy to arrive so I'm no longer in pain. But hey, it's all worth it in the end right??
