We had Youth Conference this year from Aug. 7-9 at Camp Williams. If you don't know where that is it is a National Guard training facility on Redwood Road. It was quite the experience. I wasn't able to go on Thursday, the 7th, but the youth did a service project cleaning up some parks in Lehi and then over to camp williams and had a devotional, swimming and other things.
I was able to go up early Friday morning, the 8th, and we started off with breakfast and then headed over to the Repel tower and LRC (obstable training courses) and it started to rain. I thought it was actually really refreshing. We started out at the LRC and the youth had to do different things working together to get things from one side to the other without falling in the water. We were watching and it actually looked really hard. They all did so great. After the rain let up a little we headed over to the repel tower. It was fun to watch everyone go down. I was a little sad that I didn't get to go, but I think I'll get over it.

After that we went back and rested a little and then ate lunch. We went back to our barracks and took naps. Later that night after dinner we had a dance and even some of us leaders got up and busted a move. We pulled out some of our old nineties moves like the "running man" and the "roger rabbit". It was a lot of fun. This morning we got up, ate breakfast, and then went back to clean the barracks for inspection. We had a very spiritual testimony meeting. We have some amazing youth in our stake and in our ward. Thanks to all the leaders that were able to go and help out and be a part of this year's youth conference. I'm sure it was just as amazing for all of you as well.

Sounds like so much fun...it's only been a two months, but I'm missing YW. Let me know if you ever need help with anything, especially if it happens to be during RS. :-)
