So today I am officially 39 weeks and still waiting for the arrival of this little baby. My doctor went out of town last week and will be back this Friday, so it seems that he is just waiting for the dr. to come back from vacation. We'll see in the next week if that is true.
I haven't had any signs of labor yet, but then again it could come on suddenly. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens. I know this sounds crazy, but I haven't completely made the decision of induction if he is late. I feel that my body has done everything by itself with the last 2, so it should do it's own work this time, right? Only time will tell. I don't want to rush things if he isn't ready, but I don't want to deliver a 2 year old either. :)
I did hear about this lady that was pregnant for 46 years (click for details). Yes, you read right. 46 years with a baby inside of her that one day "fell asleep, and would come out when he woke up", that is what she said. After all that time one day she was complaining of abdominal pain and the dr's went in to see what it was and there was the baby. Of course the baby had sadly died a long time ago, so figure that one out! Don't think that will happen to me, but it sure has a been a long nine months. I can't wait to meet this little guy.

Good luck! I have to say, I was induced four times, each for a different medical reason, and each time was miserable. I think you are wise to let your body do it's thing. Can't wait to see pics of the new little guy! Keep us posted!

Wow! I use to be scared of cancer. Now I'm going to be thinking about calcified fetuses!

I keep checking! I hope he comes soon. He will be such a cutie.
At least it is only for 9 months. That story of the 46 year pregnancy is just too wierd.
