Sunday in DC

I was sad that I was going to miss Church, but it's hard when you are traveling and we didn't have a car and couldn't take a taxi because we didn't have the carseat for Carson. So turned on some church music and listened to some Conference talks and then went back to the smithsonian. We figured that it would be nice to visit the Holocaust Memorial Museum that day and think about all those that suffered through that. It was quite sobering and VERY sad to see what they all had to go through. I can't believe that one human being had so much power over so many others.

We also went to the National Museum of Natural History where we saw all kinds of dinosaur bones, rocks, the HOPE diamond, and things all about the earth.

Then we headed over to the Smithsonian Castle. It looked better from the outside, but it did have the original desk that Randy, Paula, and Simon from Amercan Idol sat at. I was giving my audition. Can you tell? We also found the pile of LOOT from the 2nd Night at the Museum movie.

We then headed over to walk around the Washington Monument. We wanted to go up inside, but the tickets we sold out for that day.
