Tuesday in DC and Home again
Tuesday we decided to get an earlier start, so we ordered in for breakfast. We were going to go out to the WA Monument, but we were tired of walking and didn't think that we have time. So we decided to go shopping instead. (so much for not walking) We took the metro over to the mall. Man, that was one humongous mall. It was about 3 stories high and had about every store that you could possibly think of. We didn't have much time so we hurried back to the hotel where they were holding our luggage after check-out, fed the baby, and we had to basically RUN back to the metro. We barely made it to the airport in time to check in our luggage, go through security, and hustle to our gate. We cut it a little close, but made it none the less.
It was an interesting flight. Paul was so sweet and bought me a FIRST CLASS ticket. Carson slept for the first 2 hours of the flight and the last 2 hours he was fussy and cried most of the time. I felt bad for all the people around me. Although, I'm not sure they were even bothered because there was a strong stench of ALCOHOLIC drinks in front, behind, and beside us. So maybe they were all too tipsy to even notice. :)
It was a great trip and I'm so glad that Paul and I were able to spend a much needed vacation together.
